Laissez les bons temps rouler. "let the good times roll". Holly and I first visited New Orleans together in 1969 on our honeymoon so it is only fitting that we return during our Golden Jubilee Wedding Anniversary yearlong celebration. The city is throwing a party for us and calling it Mardi Gras. In French Mardi Gras means Fat Tuesday signifying the last day before Ash Wednesday and the start of Lent. We can live with that, and love a party, so it is all good. It is very nice and thoughtful of New Orleans to do this for us.
