Day 10 - St. Michaels, MD

Today we went to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. It was raining, then snowing, and very cold. However we had a good time and it would have been beautiful if the weather had been like yesterday.  It was a true ship building yard, but also a museum. It also had model ship building facility. One of the people we have been eating with builds model ships so that was very interesting to us because of his stories. One of his latest models cost over $1,000 to purchase the set and came with 7,000 pieces. The rest of us all decided we don’t have enough patience for that. Plus the set comes with one second glue and if you accidently glue your fingers it is a trip to the hospital as a doctor has to cut your fingers apart.  Loved his wife’s story of how he has to soak the wood in the bathtub for days and then add the stain. I guess from the photos they have shown us, there house could be a museum in itself.
